The Shrimpton Couture Archives
- 1950s Fred Perlberg ivory rayon dress
- Strapless bodice with a pretty pleating detail over the entire bodice. Light boning inside to hold it in place.
- The waist nips in and the skirt flares out over the hips and narrows down to the hem
- The skirt is gathered at the top side of each hip so it has a pretty draping down the sides
- The back has extra fabric so it has a bit of fullness and volume. You could probably add a crinoline that had its placed volume at the back if you wanted this to be very full and have more of that classic 1950s feel.
- It is fully lined in a silky rayon through the top and the skirt is mine with a stiffened cotton muslin netting
- The dress closes with a back zipper
- I see a couple tiny spots here and there. I have photoed some of them for you to see. Some grubbiness along the edge of the hem. Overall it is in great condition.
